sunday. good morning, everyone, getting you out the door this morning we have fog in santa rosa and everyone else is pretty much unlimited visibility but it is the temperature again that has me concerned, 28 degrees in santa rosa. we could have black ice like yesterday in the north bay valley. still in the 30's around concord and freezing in livermore and fair field. antioch is 39 and novato is 43 and mid-to-upper 30's through the bay shore and the coast and 42 in oakland and 49 in san francisco. headed through today it is still going to be cold again this morning as we just saw and that will hold through 7:00 and the mid-to-upper 50's for lunch time temperatures and we will be in the low 60's with hazy sunshine in another "spare the air" day. toward 7:00, quiet evening with mid-to-upper 40's. saturday, sunday, mid-and possibly a few upper 60's and a few high clouds for monday and low-to-mid 60's. temperatures will still be rather chilly overnight this weekend. and now the traffic update. >> good morning, everyone. happy friday. getting up and out early it is light traffic wise

this out, the surfer got stuck on a rock just off of ocean beach in santa rosa, near the cliff house restaurant. he climbed up the rock away from the pounding surf to wait for help. two u.s. coast guard swimmers actually paddled out to the rock, the surfer then climbed down, after a long hesitation, he waited and waited and then jumped back in the water and the three paddled through rough surf to calmer waters where a boat picked them up and carried them to safety. >> caltrans crews will start to repair sections of the bay bridge that was damaged. beginning tomorrow, workers will replace the fenders on the western tower. they were destroyed when a ship sideswiped the bridge. the pier itself was not damaged. the repairs are expected to last about 4-1/2 months. the ntsb and coast guard say it could take several months to determine the exact cause of the crash. >> in health matters tonight, regular aspirin users may have an increased risk for blindness. researchers in australia study aspirin users and said that those that use it once or more a week has more risk for macular degeneration

university. we have been working this story all morning. we're live at the sheriff's office in santa rosa with the details. >> reporter: i just spoke with investigators, and they tell me that the body found in that trunk is that of a 31-year-old man, a sonoma county resident, who was actually a suspect in a domestic violence incident just last week in santa rosa. now, the car that he was found stuffed in was on petaluma hill will road which happens to go past sonoma state university but the school was not involved at all. it was about 6:30 last night when two deputies noticed a car in a no parking zone. they got out and actually saw blood in the driver's side seat. that car had been tied to a domestic violence incident last week in santa rosa so that's what raised the red flag. it turns out the car had been sitting there since saturday. investigators saw that the trunk was unlocked and found the victim dead, wrapped in a blanket. now, they're not saying how he was killed, but they do say he had a criminal history and that could be related to all this. and it's possible he was killed somew
